British Gas has launched the WebSaver 11 tariff – which is 6% cheaper than its standard tariff.

Customers who sign up for the British Gas WebSaver 11 tariff will receive a 6% discount on the British Gas standard tariff, guaranteed until May 2012.

This means despite fluctuating energy prices, WebSaver 11 customers will always pay 6% less than the British Gas standard tariff.

The tariff – British Gas’ cheapest at present- is available to new customers signing up for a dual fuel online account, or existing customers signing up for a single or dual fuel online account.

Signing up to WebSaver 11 is estimated to save the average dual fuel customer £75 a month, whilst a single fuel customer stands to save £46 on gas or £30 on electricity.

The WebSaver 11 replaces the WebSaver 10, and, with an average bill size of £895 per year, is £26 cheaper than its predecessor.

Customers who wish to take advantage of the offer must sign up for an online account and to pay by Direct Debit.

Customers who wish to cancel before May 2012 will be liable for a £30 fee.
